Paul Moyer has taken advantage of my 76 yearold Mother. She purchased a 1999 Chevy Monte Carlo from his business Extreme Auto Plaza and his fincance company. Before the purchase of the car she found some problems the turnsignal didn't work you had to hold them in place to do so because the turning signal switch needed to be replaced Paul told her to set up an appointment and bring it back he would ordre the new switch. As she drove the car home from Des Moines the car started making noise on Hwy 35 just outside of Des Moines so she called him on her cell he said he would take care of it on the appointment she had set up with him. The next day she went to roll up her window and teh window didn't roll all the way up she called him again and he said bring it back on the appointment date and he would fix that to. She couldn't drive around with her window half down so she went to a mechcanic here in Fort Dodge and had it fixed it costs $40.00 she called Paul and he said that he would not pay for it because he could get it done cheaper. I made two trips for her down to Des Moines with the car to get it fixed the first time he didn't have the parts so I reset the appointment. The next trip Down to Des Moines he also didn't have the parts and said I would have to leave it there Paul said he had no loaner cars so I took the car back to Fort Dodge. My Mom did'nt make her loan payment to him because he did'nt fix the car Paul said if she didn't return the car for lack of payment he would repo it so she took the car back and turned it in and he is now saying that I did'nt want to stay to have the car repaired he is a liar and a crook. My Mom has lost her trade in and that was $3000.00 and he now wants more money from her and they even threatend to call the Police on her because she would not sign the papers to not volntary turn the car in. This guy Paul Moyer should really be ashamed of him self for taking advatage of a 76 yearold woman on a small retirement.

Extreme Auto Plaza has been in Business for over 20 years. We sell used vehicles and do everything possible to keep our customers happy. When this vehicle was sold there were a few things that the customer requested to get fixed. Extreme Auto Plaza agreed to fix the items, one of the items she decided to get fixed on her without our approval or acceptance of payment to another shop.

Items were ordered to make the repairs but the parts were not the correct ones. Extreme Auto Plaza did in fact try to fix the items and one being the noise they thought was heard, when we agreed to replace the part and told them that the replacement part could not be a guarantee that it would be any quieter than the original. The customer agreed to leave it alone as it was working properly.

In the process the customer decided to not make their payments as agreed causing their vehicle to be repossessed. We try to help and please all of our customers; unfortunately we are unable to help the ones that decide to quit making their payments.
We strive on customer service. We have been around for over 20 years and continue to grow, although we have a great reputation in our community we cant please everyone but we sure try to.

Yes...But...

I agree with you she was sold a problem car...problems this dealership should have corrected BEFORE making the car available for sale to the general public. However, the financial issue is a different matter. The contract requires payments to be made one time, everytime without regard to the condition of the car. She is in a bad situation...having to make payments on a car with problems. There may be an interesting twist to this. If he is financing this car as opposed to an outside company, then maybe she may have a loophole. I urge you to take the contract and your mother and you buy a half hour consultation with an attorney in your area who is EXPERIENCED in battling car dealers. It will be well worth the money. Don't drop this...give it a shot.
