I placed a deposit of a $1,000.00 dollars on a Stanley- Louis Louis Bedroom set on 09/15/2007. I was told the setimated delivery is between 8-12 weeks. I was told by Vanessa (salesperson) that I would have it by the end ov Nov. 2007. I called the store on December 1st and was informed that my order should be shipped by mid December. I placed a call on or about Dec. 20th and was told that due to the holidays the manufacturer was unable to ship my order. They informed me that my order should be in by mid January 08. I contacted them again they appologised for the delay. I was given a delivery date of February 15th. On the 15th I called North Carolina Furnitures office to make inquiries of my delivery. The phone rang but no one picked up. I made several attempts to contact them in the days to follow. the phone just rang. I went to the store located on 9 East 19th Street(on the 4th floor) in Manhattan. The elevator did not stop on the 4th floor so I went to the 7th floor to make some inquiries. I was informed that I was not the first one to ask. I was told that they(North Carolina Furniture) went out of business. These people are worse than common thieves. I hope they get what they deserve. I am not going to let these thieves get away with this. If anyone has any info. on how to get in touch with these people please post. They need to be prosecuted to the highest extent the law will allow.

Where to find The Basers "Owners of North Carolina Furniture"

AUTHOR: Moishe Caplan - (U.S.A.)

POSTED: Monday, March 10, 2008

Hi, I have been ripped off by these people myself. I have done my homework and have found that they reside at:

21 The Serpentine
Roslyn Estates, NY 11576

I have also heard that their home is for sale at the present time. You can probably put a lien on it, unless they changed the name on the deed already. Good luck. They are scammers. I think they have gone into bankruptsy now. Check the other complaints because one of the other complainants gave an address for the attorney who is handling their bankrupsy. You can put your complaints and file and action with them.

Check with the bankruptcy court

AUTHOR: Nikki - (U.S.A.)

POSTED: Thursday, February 28, 2008

Check with the bankruptcy court in the area where the furniture store did business and see if they filed for bankruptcy. You may have to check periodically over the next few months. See if you are on their list of creditors. If you are not, find out how you can get put on it. You may have to go to the meeting of creditors. Ask the bankruptcy court how do go about doing it.

You will probably be at the bottom of a long list of creditors and may not get any money at all. However, if they are filing for bankruptcy, I think that is the only way to have a chance at recouping any money. I don't know for sure since I am not an attorney. Just an idea.

Good luck!
