I placed an on-line order with CVS pharmacy in early October.  A pop-up asked me to complete a survey regarding that on-line experience and offered a reward if I did so.  Skin creams and eye serum arrived, but then I received additional shipments of the products.  After finally checking my credit card billing, I discovered I had been billed 5 times:  $96.81 on 10/20/17; $96.92 on 10/23/17; $96.81 on 11/20/17; $96.92 on 11/21/17; $96.81 on 12/19/17.  I didn't authorize an open-ended shipment and neither of the two confirmations I received mentioned this.  There were no invoices with any of the packaging and it wasn't until I received a third shipment that I checked my credit card statement and discovered the charges.

I tried to explain this error to four different individuals at the company.  First I was offered $35 refund, then differing percentages of one or two orders. My intent was to obtain a full refund since I didn't authorize these shipments nor have they provided any proof of their claim that I did authorize them, so I continued to request a full refund.  Then I called my bank and its credit card representative arranged a conference call.  Their clerk offered refunds of $96.81 for 12/19 and $96.92 for 11/21 and the credit card rep and I asked for a refund of the 11/20 billing as well since it was only one day earlier.

We finally were connected with a supervisor who identified himself as Destin and he refunded the $96.81 billing on 12/19/17 and claimed they could do no more. I had a Visa agent on the conference call and she also was confused by the multiple offers and surprised that the final offer was for only one charge.  He had keep saying 'we have refunded the last charge and that's all I can do' so I had to pin him down on the November charges:  they had rescinded the clerk's offer.  If this was 'all they could do', why did they make additional refund offers as I pursued my complaint?

So now I feel that not only was I ripped off for products I never ordered, I was punished for pursuing additional restitution.  Yes, I didn't discover the situation in a timely manner, but I had only provided my credit card information to pay for shipping on the "free" offer - which has cost me nearly $400 dollars.
