I ordered a digital camera from TECHONDIGITAL. After a couple of days, I received an email stating I must call the number listed to confirm my order.

Before I could do that, I received another email basically stating the same thing. Call a number with an extension and ask for James.

I called today and didn't speak with James because he was on another line, but spoke to someone else first. This guy tried to sell me a battery, a battery charger, a tripod, a camera case and insurance. All at what seemed an exorbitant price, so I declined. Not once did this guy tell me that the camera was on backorder or out of stock while he was trying to sell me these items. Not one minute after we hung up, I received an email stating that the camera was on backorder and was expected to be more than six weeks, therefore my order was cancelled.

I called back and spoke with James and he said basically the same thing as the email and when I became irritated and asked why the website still shows the camera as available, he said they put that so when the cameras do come in, they can send them out. He then said he'd put me at the top of the list for the camera when it does come in and won't even charge me shipping. I told him no, to cancell my order permanently and not to charge my credit card. I then sent him the following email:

"I just spoke with James and I asked that my ordered be PERMANENTLY CANCELLED. I do not want a camera from your company when the backorder comes in, if it ever does and I will refuse any packages from your company. The first guy I spoke with tried his best to sell me a battery, a charger, a carrying case and a tripod. Oh and also insurance. Never was I told during any part of the conversation that the camera I ordered was on backorder or had been cancelled. Then within one minute of hanging up with this guy, I received an email stating the camera was on backorder and would be cancelled since it would take more than six weeks. I WILL be reporting you to the BBB and the Internet Fraud office."

Apparently these guys are only interested in selling you something as long as you buy their over inflated accessories. This company is a rip off!! I will have to wait and see if they try to charge my credit card for the camera. Actually, I am going to call my bank first thing Monday morning (this is Sunday) and alert them. By the way, I have a screenshot showing the camera as available.
