Techondigital Called me twice trying to sell me accessories that they said I needed for product to work...to the tune of $99 minimum. Internet

I ordered a Garmin Nuvi 660 from TECHONdigital.com for $205 and within 30 minutes received a voice mail saying I needed to call them back about the order. Within minutes of that, received another call on my cell phone and was told I needed to buy a smart card in order for the GPS system to work.

Also needed the card in order to have maps updated....and if I didn't buy one I couldn't store locations and in order to update maps, would have to send back to Garmin and pay them $50 to do it for me (each time I had to do this). Was even told to contact Garmin to verify this info, which of course I did, and was told that this was completely bogus information. When I called them back to report this I was told that the $205 unit was a "wholesale" unit and to get the "retail" unit with all these features, it would cost me $275. Person was extremely rude and when he realized I was on to his little scam, he hung up on me!!!! Do NOT ever buy ANYTHING from this company......they are NOT legit!!!!! For the unsuspecting buyer, the scam is to get you to their web site based on advertised low prices and then have you pay additional charges for "necessary" accessories. BEWARE of TECHONDITAL.com!!!!!!!!!!!
