Storesonline came breezing into Australia about 18 months ago offering free dinner and seminar to business minded people who wanted to work from home.

They offered packages of 3 or 6 store fronts at the bargain price of $3,000 dollars each and then we had to pay for 10 weeks coaching (ha ha )a further $1,495 and email Promo Packages for another $3.000.00. They made it all sound so easy, "anyone with a computer can do it as long as your connected to the internet" "it takes about 8hrs a week" Ha Ha

They neglected to tell us that any computer older than about 3 years old wouldn't handle the programs needed to run storesonline or that it was virtually impossible to download the necessary software on dial up because it would time out before the download finished.

We've spent extra money on upgrading the computer and getting ADSL and we still haven't managed to publish our first storefront. The paperwork is just too confusing and you need to spend hours just reading before you even get on the computer. And then they had the audacity to tell us that because we hadn't launched our website within 12 months we had to pay a further $100.00 for each one or loose them, and they are still taking $89.00 dollars per month out of our credit card and can't/ won't tell us what it is for!!! Anyone who can help us please let us know what to do.

The Australian Competition and Consumer Commission have taken action against these scumbags

AUTHOR: Wally - (Australia)

Hi Debra,
Sorry you have been suckered by these mongrels. The ACCC took action against them some 12 months ago and if you follow this link to the court rulings you may find something that allows you a refund. accc.gov.au
/content/index.phtml/itemId/734554
I hope Ed allows the link as it will help anyone in Australia to make an informed decision before handing over one cent to these lowlifes. Incidentally if you google web developers for your local town or city you will find hundreds of competent, local web developers who will set up as many websites as you like professionally and much cheaper than these con artists.
Make sure you cancel your bank accounts and obtain new ones so these lower than low lifes can't get one more cent from you. Good luck
