I called Melaleuca and tried to close my account the end of October 2014.  They said I had to send some special form but I was to late that month so they sent me a certificate for $53.39 for September .  I told them I wanted to send it back but they said I couldn't.  I had to order product and pay $53.39.  They tried to charge my bank card for the $53.39  but couldn't because I lost my card and canceled it.  They called and called me to the point of harassment. I told them I was not going to give them my new card number because I knew they would take out the $53.39.  I told them since I couldn't send the certificate back I would send the order they wanted and pay the money at the end of the month when we got paid. I told them again I wanted to cancel.  They said I had to fill out some form online but I couldn't do that because they locked me out of my account until I paid the $53.39.  I looked online for an hour trying to find that form but I couldn't find it.  I paid the amount due on November 1.  Then they charged me another $64.96 for October and sent a box of product!

I called them again and told them to close the stupid account.  They said I had to return the product and pay the shipping.  I was told I had to write a letter and it had to be done a certain way and put in the box with the product.  I did that and sent it back. I also sent a letter to their corporate office. 

Today, Decembe 2, 2014 I was charged another $53.39 for November.  I called them again and they said I wasn't supposed to put a letter in the box. I asked them what kind of stupid games they are playing. They said they never received my other letter to the corporate office. She asked what address I sent it to.  I knew she didn't believe me and was going to turn it around on me.  I  told her I just wanted my money back and wanted to cancel my stupid membership. 

She said she would email me that special form within 20 minutes and I had to fax it back.  It's been an hour and I still haven't received it.  I spoke to someone in another department and he said I could just fax a letter with my signature.  Here we go again.  He said I would get my refund but I wouldn't get the tax or shipping back.  Why would they keep the tax for something I returned?

Anyway, I just wanted to let everyone I can not to do business with them.  Their products aren't that great and you can buy nautral products on the shopping channel.

I'm glad you had a pleasant experience with Melaleuca.  I don't appreciate you insinuating that I was rude and nasty to customer service. I wasn’t.  Their customer service is made up of humans and they are capable of being rude and wrong too.  I’m glad you enjoyed your tour of the warehouse.  They are not the only company with top notch products and a wonderful facility.  A lot of their products are overpriced. I know exactly what I am getting from the companies I purchase from. I also know the quality.  You apparently don’t know anything about purchasing from other companies or the shopping channels. I research things.  I don’t just buy anything I see.  I did follow the instructions on how to cancel my membership.  I know about Melaleuca’s back up order policy.  Don’t tell me I was too lazy to abide by the cancelation policy.  You don’t know what you are talking about.  You were not part of it and have no right to judge me.  By the way the perfect customer service called and apologized for the way their customer service representative treated me and the wrong information I was given.  I guess they do make mistakes and I’m not as stupid as you think.  In the future be careful not to judge people. They may really know what they are talking acout.

Just had to cancel one of my memberships with Melaleuca and it was a very pleasant experience. More than likely everyone that is rude and nasty with customer service is feeling as if they were ripped off! Have you ever visited their manufacturing and warehousing facilities? You will not want to deal with another company if you experienced that! Their customer service 2nd to none! Their products are top notch for a good price and I know what im getting, who knows what kind of quality you are getting on the shopping channel? My advice is follow the instructions on how to cancel your membership, and stop acting like Melaleuca hid their back up order policy from you, it was very transparent if you ordered by phone or in writing - remember you agreed to the back up order and now you were too lazy to abide by the cancelation policy in place!
