I left Miami for a one month vacation in Costa Rica on Feb 2, with plans to return, via Copa Airlines, on Mar 3.

Unfortunately, I had no sooner arrived at my ultimate destination at the beach in Playa Grande, on Friday evening (Feb 3) that I received a phone call with the sad news of a death in the family.

Since several other family members were abroad at the time, it took a few days for final plans to be made, etc...

I made my way back to San Jose, and finally got word that services would be on Saturday, Feb 11, southeast of Macon, Georgia.

So that I might save some of my trip, I decided to purchase a whole new round trip ticket, that would take me from San Jose to Miami, and then back to San Jose in a week. I said to the agent, please make my return for Feb 17 or 18, just get me moving to miami asap.

I flew out of San Jose to Miami Wednesday evening, on Flight 690, arriving in Miami around 10 pm.

On Thursday, members of the family drove north, to Georgia, arriving early Friday morning. There was a quiet family service, on Saturday, and Sunday nite we were driving back home.

So it wasn't until Monday evening, Feb 13, as I picked my Eticket up, that I noticed that the Taca AGENT HAD MADE A MISTAKE on my ticket, and, in fact had issued me a flight for the Friday, Feb 10, just two days after my flight out of Costa Rica.

At first I was not alarmed, as there was still several days ahead to my intended travel date. In good faith, I believed that Taca management would make good my arrangements, since, in fact, the original error was theirs.

Instead, I have been playing phone tag for over a week with Taca, and they are making no effort to make good my travel at all.

A Miss Belkis, who has represented herself to me as a reservations supervisor with Taca, claims that they found the RECORDING of my original reservations call, in which she claims that I confirmed the agents booking of Feb 10. I said, if you found the RECORDING, then you must have heard me request a seat for the following week, and to please get me a copy of that RECORDING, so that I might verify for myself, which Miss Belkis REFUSED to do.

Apparently, those RECORDINGS that are made of your reservations calls can ONLY be called upon when they benefit Taca.

Miss Belkis offered to make a Reservations Change for $100, and thus offer me a flight under those terms, but frankly, I cannot afford it, and I feel like Taca has not dealt in GOOD FAITH with me thus far.

So, thank you very much, Grupo Taca, for your lack of customer care. You have managed to take one of the worst months of my life, WORSE.

I am making this written RECORDING of my experience with your lackluster airline, so that others may be informed of what they might expect from you.

HEY! Haven't you heard:

THAT's No Way to Run an Airline!!!
