I went to this website, after I saw a google/youtube ad link to an IQ test.  I thought I would go ahead and try it to see what my score was.

Once I was finished with the test, it prompted me to enter my phone number.  It also listed a disclaimer to agreeing with their $20.00 a month service agreement.

I went on to read their ridiculous disclaimer, and the link was broken.  Kinda funny that they want you to agree to their policies which HAVE NO DISCLAIMER.

I did not finalize the quiz.  Therefore I did not fall victim to a common scam.  I think it's misleading, fraudulent, and false advertising, to allow people to take a "free quiz" just to get a participation prompt at the end.   If they want to charge people, they need to be up front from the beginning.

I went to their web site to see their main disclaimer, which basically makes you waive all of your consumer protection rights, and claims that you agree to let this company violate all of your consumer protection rights.  What kind of creeps do this to their customers?

I pay the same amount of money they charge just to have 3G internet speeds on my phone.  Their monthly service fees are ridiculous, and I would imagine most people who use their services, had no idea they would charge them.  Particularly taking advantage of children who often use the internet, and try out these quiz's.

Since there really is no middleman to prevent the charges from going through, providing they are authorized access via text messaging, their services are charged through your cell phone provider, where you must pay them and your provider at the same time.

These types of scams need to stop, and someone needs to do something about it.  Obviously google is profiting, and so is youtube, for advertising these services, and those unwary of the services are getting scammed by these internet con-artists.  Cell phone companies are also well aware of this, and they won't stop it either.

They are no different than a company that steals your credit card info, and charges up lots of unauthorized fees and charges.

Furthermore, it really just makes me mad to see these criminal corporations getting away with this on a daily basis.  Taking advantage of people during a recession, and a poor economy.  They make you waive all of your rights in their agreement contracts?  Why is any of this legal?

I hope I never come face to face with any of these CEOs because someone would be going to the hospital, and it won't be me.
