My wife bought an Invicta Russian Nautilus Diver watch from this seller on EBay which cost $1400.00 as a gift for me. The watch was received in early December and my wife wrapped it and placed it under the Xmas tree. Upon opening the gift wrapped watch on 12/25/13, I really liked it. I set the time on the watch and read the documents that came with it.

On 12/27/13, the pin holding the chain in place fell out so the chain was just dangling. I also noticed that the watch would not keep time so decided not to wear it. I would wind it at night and check in the morning to see if it kept time. No luck. On the morning of 12/30/13, I went to check the watch and the crystal face (glass) was "frosted" looking and had a crack down the center. Not the type of crack that would occur from use.

My wife contacted the seller and his response was to basically take it up with Invicta as he has a No Return/No Refund policy. Personally, I see that clause as a scam and would have never bought the watch from this seller. He claims to be an elite delaer but I found numerous errors in his description ads on EBay versus the real product. I have not heard back from him since I sent the website links showing an "F" rating on the BBB website and the numerous complaints on RipoffReport.com.

There are many, many complaints with the Better Business Bureau for Invicta. On ripoffreport.com, there are complaints of the crystal cracking just as I have experiences and once again, the consumer had a horrible experience with Invicta consumer service. This is a defective product with known issues. I escalated this issue with Ebay Buyer Protection with no luck thus far. I have other watches that cost double this amount so I know how to treat an expensive watch (damage was no fault of mine). The seller took the complaint personally and broke off communication when confronted with the facts found on BBB.org and RipoffReport.com.

Also, this seller takes everything personally judging from his responses on BBB and eBay case disputes. The seller is the one making money from consumers by selling bad merchandise online (that is non refundable and not returnable) but he refers to the consumer as the "criminal".

I have a call into eBay as they DID NOT properly read ALL of the information I provided to them, resulting in their careless and erroneous judgement. Yes, the watch was bought in early December. Yes, the watch (gift) was opened on Christmas. As I stated in my response to EBay, THE watch WAS NOT DAMAGED when I opened it. I don't know why the seller and EBay FAIL to comprehend that. So it doesn't matter if I had the watch for 30 days or 90 days, or 2 days. The crystal face on the watch was NOT damaged when I opened it.

The problems started within 2 days of opening the gift. First the pin holding the chain fell off. And then I noticed that it would not keep time. After researching on the internet, I figured out that the watch needed to be wound up on a regular basis. Ok, no big deal. So I wound up the watch in the evening and when I went to check it in the morning to see if it kept time, that is when I found the crystal was cracked.

Now, why would I wear a watch if it doesn't keep time? So the seller's theory of me dropping the watch is a false allegation as I did not wear the watch. I was home for vacation for 3 weeks during December so it's not like I went anywhere where I would wear the watch. I should be the one asking why the seller has a "No Return and No Refund" policy on his merchandise, if what he is selling, is truly authentic and of good quality.

Invicta has an "F" rating on BBB and there is no questioning why that is. It's because the quality of Invicta is sub-par and the selling practices of Invicta dealers is shadier than used car salesmen. There are NUMEROUS incidents on Ripoffreport.com of consumers who send their watches in for service and never see their watch for 3-6 months, if at all. And most of the time, the repairs are third-rate and the problems continued.

Read the postings! Why should I pay for fixing something that should not break in the first place? ESPECIALLY due to NO FAULT of mine! The manner in which the crystal is shattered, it is a manufacturing defect. I have watches that cost more than this and know how to handle watches so basically, the seller has no other defense but to point the finger. I WILL be filing cases with numerous consumer protection agencies so other consumers do not get duped by ColemanInvictaWatches.
