Carolina Furniture and Leather Inc.

It starts last May 03. We recieved a delivery of furniture which we purchased in cash March 3, 03 . When we recieved the wall unit it is a different finish to what we ordered - we ordered oak it came to us in cherry. The style was correct.

We also recieved a table style we did not order plus this one was damaged. The chairs for the table too were the wrong style (6 chairs). Also the 2 bar stools we ordered were brought to us with the wrong fabric on the seats. We were told to keep the wrong and damanged furniture until they could replace them - which was estimated 4 weeks. Well as you can see the date is August 04.

We have been on the phone hundreds of times with them from the start , we can't get what we paid for . Their customer service has a message machine that says they will get back to you in 2-3 days. It is impossible to get in touch with a human there.

My husband called a week before last , and finally got in touch with Mike at 336-259-3594. He informed us that he is taken care of our situation and that we would be able to get our money back with the items that weren't correct. They would pick up the furniture last week - now one of their drivers was out ill so it was pushed to this week -- we are still trying to get in touch with Mike. He will not answer our calls or return them.

I am at witts end with these promises . We are to be getting back close to 2500.00 . This company needs to be set straight. Please help us we really need this money to get replacement pieces to which were damanged and wrong. I will not shop at this store again or referr anyone to them. We paid an extra 240.00 to this company which we do not have a reciet for - it was done over the phone with Greg Wagoner to upgrade the table to a butterfly leaf one. He told us he would help us -- look how he did!!

Glad to hear that they're supposed to be taking care of your problems now, but...

If they still do not take care of your problems, contact the North Carolina Attorney General's office. They will contact Carolina Furniture and try to help you in getting your problems resolved. You can go to their web site at http://www.ncdoj.com/ and click on the Consumer Protection link. You may also call the NC AG's office toll free at 877-5-NO-SCAM (877-566-7226) and speak with someone. They can tell you if they already have any complaints against Carolina Furniture and help you in filing your own complaint if you want. Another thing you can try if your problems aren't resolved is to contact the Better Business Bureau.

We just heard from Mike at Carolina furniture and leather, he is going to fix the problem of which was made -- refunding our money for the items which were wrong and damanged. Next thursday they will be picking up the furniture and handing us a check. Thank you for this wonderful and prompt inquire on this matter. Thank you Carolina furniture and leather for their response in this problem.We will keep you updated when the furniture is picked up.

It seems like this company is turning around with how they deal and handle their customers -- the sales a*s. that help us at the beginning is no longer their and they have had several meetings about the way they have handled matters in the past. The furniture is very well made and the prices are great . Maybe we were the only ones who had a problem with ex-employees.
