Avangatee Services LLC I have read all the scams about this company and I am wondering do I pay for their work or report them. They told me to write a check for 499.00 San Leandro California

Avangatee Services called me.  They used to be called Devine Services.  They showed me that I had been hacked by Russia and I needed a new security system.  They put one in at the cost of 499.00.  They said send a check instead of a credit card.  Seems to me most companies like this require a credit card.  Now reading all the scams about this company do I pay for what they did or get ahold of microsoft and take the system.  I was hacked once and called Microsoft and FBI.  Please advise me what to do.
