Roambuilt is a Fraud. took money for an online order for products. never sent the products and won't return the money. Portland Oregon

Roambuilt is a custom manufacturer of off-road components built for vans.  They have a consumer facing website at www.roambuilt.com.  On September 7th, 2023 I placed an order for 2 pairs of surf cradles that are intended to hold surfboards to a van at a cost of $1,584.00.  At the time of the order Roambuilt indicated an 8-12 week wait time to complete the order.  On December 1, 2023 I contacted Roambuilt by email to inquire about the status of the order.  I received no response.  I contacted the company repeatedly by email, text and phone message for months with no reply.  On March 16, 2024, 6 months after the order was placed I received an email indicating that the Roambuilt was having financial difficulty and could not complete the order.  I asked for my money to be returned to my credit card and Roambuilt will not provide a refund.

Roambuilt continues to operate an activate consumer facing website and continues to take orders for items it has no ability or intention of ever sending.  I am submitting this information to the Attorney General of Oregon as well as the Consumer Fraud Division of the Portland Oregon District Attorney's Office.  Should I receive either my money back or the items purchased, I will update this report.
