Egumball..... I can't begin to tell you how bad of an experience I have had with egumball.  As soon as I signed with them my listing was off the map for months, while I paid their fees.  I was told to hang in there that it could take months.  I kept asking them are you even monitoring our site.  Then I changed their tracking link that they make you put in the listing and waited to see if they would pickup the loss in traffic.  I waited over a week and no call or email.  I called them and they said well we may or may not pick it up.  My response was you told me you were monitoring it.  Next I re-established my pin code from google so they can't continue to manage my account, and waited to see how long it would be before they noticed.....guess what still no call or email.  My question is what am I paying for.....Their answer......  there silly site that draws little traffic.  Not worth that kind of money.  Its a shame because its a 6 month contract.  i have heard others get bullied into paying a large fee, which is fine, but to post a false and misleading site is not.

I am considering doing a class action law suit as my wife works for a lawfirm.  Any or any lawyer interested?

It Would Have Been Best To Have Left The Listing Alone

AUTHOR: eGumball Inc. - (United States of America)

POSTED: Monday, January 23, 2012

When we/you claim your Google Places listing for the first time it is Google standard policy to remove a listing from competitive searches for an average of 4-6 weeks until a listing is authenticated. Though your listing is visible to the public within 72 hours it is limited to searches by your company name.

It is interesting to know that over the six months of service you claim to have a) replaced our domain name and b) reclaimed your listing by entering your pin code. This is against our terms of service as it interrupts service. One reason we do not guarantee results.

Important Note: It is Google standard to remove a listing from competitive searches for 4-6 weeks after a listing is verified.

Here is what we see.

1) We claimed your listing on (date unknown). Your listing is not available for competitive searches for 4-6 weeks from (date unknown). LISTING DOWN FOR 4-6 WEEKS

2) You claimed to have replaced our domain with another domain name to see if our traffic reports would flag the change. Since this action would require a separate claim, this action would indicate that your active Google Places listing was interrupted and reverified, which would require another 4-6 weeks of verification from Google. LISTING DOWN FOR 4-6 WEEKS

3) You claim to have had to re-establish a pin code. This action would remove your Google Places listing for another 4-6 weeks. LISTING DOWN FOR 4-6 WEEKS

As you can see we were playing tug-a-war with your listing. Although we can appreciate your testing of service, you cannot reverify your listing within a six month period three times. This created 3-4 months of down time.

Our template product is a "template" for those who need a quick template site who an immediate website presence while a new website is in development. This website meets Google Places NAP requirements which helps improve your confidence score. Pulling this site off reduced your overall confidence score.

We do monitor our Google Places listings and we rely on a number of reports not just server traffic. It would have been more productive to ask us for a traffic report illustrating keyword and referrer traffic as opposed to working against us.

You are paying for citation development, video marketing and Google Places maintenance. The citation service takes time to update through our gateway which channels your information throughout a rather robust list of local directory subscribers. This process takes time.

If you could post back your customer information we would be more than happy to post back more specific and detailed information which can help answer your issue. Alternatively you may contact our customer support manager at 800-890-8940.

Thank you.
