New Castle, DelawareA door-to-door salesperson selling 'Advanage Wonder Cleaner' (distributed by 'Austin Diversified Products, Inc.') told me that I would receive a voucher for two (2) airline tickets worth $1600 if I made a 'special' purchase of the products.
While I had never heard of Advanage, I was impressed with its performance from the various demonstrations done by the salesperson. I have to admit that my radar did heat up when I sent the $20 check, so I sent it certified mail. I have proof that it was received by the addressee--not that it did me any good.
I searched on-line for a phone number and found out that there is a travel agency at 736 Franklin Avenue, and that agency had received numerous calls from others looking for 'The Guest List.' I knew right then that I had been 'had.'

Is this a viable complaint?
I have worked for the biggest competitors of Advanage, (a nearly identical product) selling product door to door. I am familiar with the techniques in selling this product door-to-door and where as the company is responsible for it's representatives, they still have little control over the door-to-door reps and how they present themselves. They are 'Salesman' after all; a profession known for being scandless-swindlers who make their money (and lots of it) by being charming and selling themselves to anyone and everyone, typically leaving their biggest prey (the naïve consumers) left in a state of insecurity from regret of purchase (mostly from price), and feeling a sense of being 'ripped off'.
In my personal opinion, it is the consumer's responsibility to be aware of their purchase, and any neglect on collecting details in writing on any verbal agreement leaves them at fault. I believe it is unethical to practice sales in this manner. Even with legitimate sales positions in order to be successful you are required to push product on people even when they cannot afford it.
I believe this company provides a product that is unique to all other products, I have not found any in-store cleaning solvents that work half as well, and on top of that it it is non-toxic and environmentally friendly. The asking price for the products does seem steep, but where else are you going to get it? If you don't like the price, then buy something else. After all, you didn't buy the product from the door-to-door representative, you bought the representative. I don't believe that the company has your worse interest at hand, they provide a good product and if someone is misrepresenting them, I believe they would do what is right, get the issue addressed and work towards getting it resolved.
Here are your facts:
Austin Diversified Products, Inc. (the company behind USAdvanage) has had accreditations through the Better Business Bureau since September 22, 1988. Their current rating is 'Satisfactory'.
If there is an unresolved issue, I would go to the BBB. http://chicago.bbb.org/WWWRoot/Report.aspx?site=46&bbb=0654&firm=2858
I wonder who you work for
Come on. the sales men do not make any money. the irs should be all over these people. they beat up their own workers and pay them nothing. they leave people on the side of the highway thousands of miles from home. nathan edwards is a modern day slave runner
