movieland.com is one of the worst internet scams going. my father had a teenage relative (not 21!)stay with him for a week and they must have used his computer to go to the movieland website. after they left, my father's computer was a mess filled with spyware and loads of hidden files.

my father is blind and uses his computer with 'jaws' software that reads the info to him. my father couldn't use his computer because a page kept popping up saying that his free trial was over and now he had to pay money even if he wanted to cancel the service! as others have said, there are NO phone numbers to call to reach these horrible people.

in the meantime, my father's computer was virtually held hostage as he couldn't get rid of the anoying popups and his programs wouldn't run properly. i went to help him and he was ready to just pay the money so he could get back control of his computer! i wouldn't let him do it and i searched the internet for some help.

i came across the following link which tells you how to remove movieland and ALL of it's related files. it worked perfectly and i advise everyone who has been victimized by movieland to go to this site:

i didn't have to download pocket killbox as the article suggests. i only had to remove some files while in safe mode. but it worked perfectly! and, most importantly, those movieland bastards DID NOT get my father's money!

it is really shameful that a site such as movieland exists.
