These scammers were able to trick my relatives into thinking their computer was hacked by people from Nigeria.

They were told to give them remote acces to their computer to remove the virus.

Once the virus was "removed", they were told to send a check to the scammers.

The Scammers sent a FedEx truck to their house to pick up the check.

My relatives gave me the phone number they called, and told me they were located in california. I called the scammers, and the scammers would give me no information about their company, unless I gave them my first and last name. They would not give me their website, or anything.

I was able to get some website out of them after a while, and being transfered to a "manager", but it was some fake .info site.

I called comcast, which is who my relatives said they origionally called. My relatives had said after calling comcast, they were referred to PC WONK. Comcast had no idea who PC Wonk was, and referred my to their actual partnered company, Norton Antivirus. Comcast also told me, and several other relatives investigating this strange incident that this was a scam, and my affected relatives needed to file a fraud report.

Norton support laughed when I said the company only accepted CHECK AND MONEY ORDER, and told me that the 400.00 - 450.00 they requested for their service was enough to buy a whole new computer. Norton told me to have my relative give them a call, so they could actually perform the virus removal, and told me to have them cancel the check they had sent.

Norton also said no real tech support company would refuse to give out their website, because that's bad business, and if they were actually in the busisness of tech support, they would want people to be able to reach them.

There is no way this company isn't a scam. Do not believe the people saying otherwise, it's just the scammers taking time out of their dirty work to make sure they can continue it.
